Throughout the week I have completed 9 more glossaries;
Harmony, texture, screenprint, sculpture, shape and form, movement, ISO and abstract.

For harmony, I didn't know what to draw so I researched  the keyword in the Internet and noticed that there was a lot of harmony between the different races. Because I this I decided to draw 4 hands all different shades, holding onto eachother to show that they were all a part of something. I created this using coloured pencils, as I found it easier this way to show a lot more detail. I think that this piece could have turned out a lot better if I had included a background, so I may change this later on if I have time.

For texture, I wanted to bring something from a different work shop into it, so I decided to use the method of screen printing from textiles. Because the keyword was texture; instead of using procion dye for screen printing, I used puff binder, which once heated up on the calico, became raised and felt different to the rest of the material. I think this worked Really well. I created this glossary page in Thursday's art lesson.

For the next keyword, I drew 5 hands creating a star to represent shape, as many other student were making a hand out of shapes, so I wanted to do the opposite and make something different. I created this using the materials, paint; for the background, coloured pencils; for the hands, and coloured pens for the inside of the star. I didn't like this glossary page as much as the others, as it didn't look as detailed. This is what I would change if I were to do it again.

For movement, I drew a pencil drawing of a women moving her hands, showing all the different positions made. I think this could have turned out better if I had used a background on it.

 From my 3d workshop I used the keyword, abstract. I drew lots of different sized hands to create a tree and because of this I drew all the arms in brown pencil to look like branches, and the hands In different shades of green, to look like leaves. I really like this one as it is a lot different to my other glossary pages.

Then, for the last keyword given to me by Claire, I drew a hand, which formed the shape of a gun in its shadow for the keyword form. I created this by using paint, a black biro pen and grey coloured pencils. I wouldn't change this keyword as I think it turned out very well. Once this keyword had been completed I had completed the last of the 7 elements and 7 principles of art. I then had to complete another 6 from the different workshops I had been in; for textiles, I used the word screen print for my glossary, which is defined in one of my past blogs. Because I had already used puff binder and screenprinting for texture, this time I used 3 different coloured procion dyes, to create a skeleton hand, which I think worked very well. I also created this glossary page in Thursday's art lesson.

For the photography workshop I collaged 2 of the images I had taken, to represent ISO. To make it look more effective, I changed some of the settings such as the brightness and contrast. I think that these images worked really well, as they show two different ISO settings.

For the ceramics workshop, I used the keyword sculpture. I took a photo of the sculpture I had created in the week before lasts work shop, and edited it on photo shop, adding text and changing settings such as, contrast, brightness and saturation.
I know have 2 more glossary pages to complete in 5 days for my deadline on Thursday.

After completing the glossary pages, texture and sculpture, in Thursday's art lesson, I then began to make a wire frame hand with another instructor, as we didn't have time to do it a few weeks ago. For health and safety reasons we had to wear goggles, incase of an accident. I found this activity quite enjoyable, however it was  a little hard at first as I didn't know how to start it off, but once I did it began to look really good.
