In Thursday's art class, I started creating glossary pages for emphasis and contrast. The materials I used were ink and coloured pencils. For the first drawing I drew a pair of hands, in coloured pencil; holding a flower,  I drew with ink to help emphasise it, which I thought worked really well. For the second drawing I. Drew a baby's hand holding onto a parent's hand. I used black ink on the background, and coloured pencils on the pair of hands.
However, whilst drawing this, I had trouble making it to size, as when I started drawing this image, I began to draw it too low down the page; because of this I had to get another student to hold their hand in the same position as the image in order to draw the top part of their hand. I manged to finish emphasis in class, but had to finish contrast at home, also over the weekend I completed 2 more glossary pages for balance and value.
For balance, I wasn't very sure on what to draw or what the word meant, so I started to think about what kind of things in life were balanced, and after a few ideas I decided to interperate good and evil into the drawing. I researched some images  and began to draw the devil's hand reaching up half way up the page to try and pull God's hand down to represent evil, whilst God's hand reached down to try and pull the devil up, representing good and that neither could win or lose. The materials I used on this drawing were ink, coloured pencils and water colours. For value, I used a Hb pencil to draw a male's hand pointing in a lot Detail to help show the  light parts and the dark parts, which worked really well.
I have now completed 10 glossary pages and have 11 more days to complete 10 more.
