Art websites contextual studies 
In our project, we have to view different art websites to see how they are set up or used and say whether or not we like it.

What I like about this website is that it looks quite bold and catches your eye. It informs you on the main page what the website is about, and everything is under subheadings in chronological order, making it understandable and Easy to use.
What I don't like about this website is that there is a lot of writing to read, and not enough illustration, so other readers may lose interest.  If I were to use something on this website For my own, It would be the layout and design as it makes it look a lot more interesting, than just a black and white home page.

This website looks professional, however I don't like how much information is used on the front home page, as the reader wouldn't know where to start and may  choose to find a more simple website to research. Also, it doesn't look very creative or artistic, as it is just a plain
layout. I wouldn't choose anything from this website to use in my own, as it doesn't intrigue me.

What I like about this website is that there are blog entries going back to 2012, which shows that the blog is quite successful. I also like how it is set out as it is easy to look through and find different articles and posts. What I don't like about it, is that it doesn't include many photos/ images so it doesn't look very eye catching. I couldnt take anything from this blog as it is the same layout as my own blog.

I like that this website is straight to the point, and goes straight onto show all the posts in chronological order. However, I don't like that it doesn't inform you on what the website is about, doesn't contain any illustration or isn't very eye catching.
If I were to use something from this website on my own website/blog I would use how each individual post is set out, as they look very professional.

This website looks very eye catching and intrigues the reader at first glance. I like how this website doesn't just talk about art, but talks about other things such as films, music, fashion etc. Also, it includes a lot of illustration, which also catches the readers eye. There isn't anything I don't like on this website. I would you the range of different topics in my blog, as it would give me a wider range to talk about.

I like that this website has over 800 pages and that there are articles going back to 2010, as it shows there is a wide content of information; also there are a lot of different categories to look through. However, I don't think I would take anything from this website as a log of the websites are quite similar so Id want to make mine look a little more unique.
