Pages 51- 55 in sketchbook.

This is the cover page to show who the next artist was that I researched. I decided to research Thomas Heatherwick, because I like how he creates a  piece of art work that is more than just a piece of art to people, as they may have a different purpose such as the rolling bridge and East Beach CafĂ©.

This is 'The Rolling Bridge' that Thomas Heatherwick has created. I've chosen to recreate this as I like the form of it and the use of geometrical shapes found within the structure. To recreate this drawing I have used a 4B pencil to try and recreate the same effect as the structure itself. I also chose to draw this part of the image as it looks more complex than the other two sections of the picture. I feel that this could have turned out better if I had chosen one of the other sections to draw as it was a little complicated to re create due to the perspective of the photo.

This is another example of Thomas Heatherwick's work, which I have decided to recreate. I've chosen this piece of work as this structure also includes geometrical shapes within it and I feel that it looks quite unique and stands out within its surroundings. This drawing looks quite similar to drawing above however, this drawing was recreated using graphite. I feel that this could have also turned out better as the quality of the drawing doesn't look as good as some of the other drawings within my sketchbook.  If I were to do this again, I would use a different media such as oil pastel to whether this would make the quality of the drawing better.
