This is an image that I have taken of a church on a day out in Manchester. I created this drawing over two pages so that I was able to draw the image on a bigger scale. I used coloured pencils to create this, I was quite Subtle with this drawing so that the darker colours would stand out more on the main parts of the building. I wouldn't change this drawing as I feel that it has turned out quite well.

This is to show where my book research starts within my sketch book. I feel that this could look a lot better if I had done the writing a lot neater or even in a different style font.

This is the first drawing that I created from my book research. I chose this image due to the shape and form of the structure. To create this I used graphite to try and create a steel effect which I think turned out great. To create the draker tones in the drawing I pressed onto the graphite harder so that it emphasised the building and I also used a rubber to help higlight certain parts of the drawing.

This is another drawing that I have created from my book research. I chose this image as I feel that the colours contrast and work really well together . I also chose this as the tiles reminded me a little of an animals scales. I used coloured pencils to create this and it had turned out to be one of my favourite drawings as it includes a lot of detail and I feel that this media has worked really well for this drawing and I wouldn't change this. I used a darker colour to create shading on the tiles so that it looked 3D and looked as if the tiles were over lapping each other.

This is this cover I created for my wentworth primary research, using a photo that I have taken of wentworth church.

I decided to recreate this image due to the perspective that the photograph was taken and also because it uses a lot of detail and geometrical shapes within the building. To recreate this I used coloured pencils, which I feel works really well. I used quite a neutral colour and dark Browns to try and create a brick effect in the building which I really like as you can see all the detail within it. I also used a very strong blue to create the Windows on the building to help and emphasis. To emphasise the building even more, I also used a black to outline certain parts of the building so that they stood out more.

This is the cover to start off my observational drawings throughout Barnsley that I have created.
